It is tough to have a fancy menu on a boat, but with this easy but delicious crab omelet will take care of such cravings for a while. Here is what you need and how to make this for a healthy and hassle free breakfast.
To make crab omelet for two, you would need 8ounces of fresh or packed crab meat, 4 eggs, ¼ cup each of diced onion and bell pepper, 2 slices of bacon, 1 tablespoon of sun dried tomatoes, cheese, hollandaise sauce, and 2 table spoon of water.
Take the eggs and whip it in a bowl with 2 tablespoon of tepid water and set aside. It should come to room temperature. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion, peppers and tomatoes. When done, add the crab and heat thoroughly. Now remove it from heat and set aside. Cook the bacon till it is firm and crisp and also set aside.
Pour additional oil in the pan and bring it to medium heat. Add eggs and cover. When the eggs begin to rise, add the crab mixture with the help of a spoon onto the eggs, don’t forget to crumble the bacon onto the mixture. Place a few cheese slices on top of the mixture. Cover and let it cook. Once done, slide the omelet onto a plate and flip to cover the crab. Pour hollandaise sauce over it and serve hot!
Your yummy crab omelet is ready! Your very own seafood breakfast- well not completely but technically.
