Boat with a Midas touch

There is a common saying that goes “the two happiest days in a boat owner’s life are – the day he buys a boat and the day he sells it.” But if you buy a boat that costs some whopping millions (hypothetically), you would not want to sell it! Don’t look surprised. The most expensive boat or yacht to be precise would cost you…hold your breath… £3 billion!!

The British designed History Supreme is a 100 feet yacht, which is adorned with 100 tons of gold that covers more than half of her surface. This gold plated superyacht is the most expensive boat on the planet. The History Supreme has been designed by Liverpool jeweler Stuart Hughes who also had designed £5 million diamond wrapped iPhones, iPads and laptops. The boat has sleeping quarters covered in platinum and a statue made from the bone of the raptor Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Dining areas, rails, the deck and anchor are made from precious metals including meteoric stones and platinum. It took 3 years for the designer to build this yacht and he agrees that this yacht is his most ambitious project. The yacht has been built in Italy and completed in Malaysia in July 2011 and a Malaysian businessman, possibly Robert Kouk is now the proud owner.
